PROXIMITY

Proximity system is using radio waves to identify objects by retrieving data embedded within proximity cards or  tags. It is a contact-less technology that uses radio waves to retrieve identities tagged to a product, animal or person.

Every tag is unique with different serial number which is stored on a microchip in a form of a tag or transponder. The reader retrieves data from the tag when two part come close to a specified readable range of distant.  The Proximity reader’s emits electromagnetic waves and receives responses from the tag.

Due to it’s contact-less technology will minimizes the risk of tag cloning, the proximity system design and software implementation have proven to be more effective and efficient than normal magnetic strip card system in the sense of  security. The adoption of Proximity system technology in security door-lock applications is feasible, and provides a more secure access. Its performance and reliability has proven its potential to be integrated in various applications.
